My name is David Buzzell and I live in Greenville, SC. I met Mike Ensley through a mutual friend that is a Prudential realtor in my area. I had originally asked my friend to help me purchase a house in Charleston; my son Drew goes to the College of Charleston and wanted to live in town instead of on campus. I felt that with real estate doing what it was doing in Charleston, it would be prudent to invest in a house instead of renting something.
My friend suggested that I work with someone that knew the area well and recommended Mike. Mike’s website and motto of sorts is “I know Charleston” and that couldn’t be more accurate. I found Mike to be very knowledgeable and friendly, and despite the fact that I was looking for a lower-priced home I felt I got all the attention and response that I could have asked for. I never felt that Mike was less interested in what I was looking for because of the price range I had to stay in.
Finding a suitable home in the price range that I wanted to stay in and still end up in a reasonably nice, safe neighborhood was quite a challenge. Mike constantly updated me via email with what was available in the price range and neighborhoods that he knew I wanted to look at. When I called for more information, I got it. When I asked to see houses or asked him to look at houses with my son it was no problem. Because of Mike’s determination, we found a house in our price range and in a decent neighborhood.
When it was time to put in an offer and negotiate with the seller and representing realtor, I felt that Mike was on my side and more concerned that I end up with what I wanted than that he end up with the largest commission possible. He made sure that all of the legal and official details were seen to and taken care of. I truly felt that we got full service from start to finish.
After the sale, Mike was still there to iron out any problems and expressed concern that we were happy with our purchase after the fact. He still stays in touch with me to this day.
If you were to look up “professional realtor” in the dictionary, Mike’s picture would be there. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I have never met another realtor that knew more or cared more and I am deeply grateful for the service that I received from him.
